Justice Santosh Hegde chosen for Basava Bhushana Award

Belgaum, Jan 16, 2013: Former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde has been chosen for the prestigious ‘Basava Bhushana Award’ given to outstanding achievers by the Jangamalinga Sukshetra Motagi Mutt of Athani in Belgaum district.

This was informed  to reporters by Sri  Prabhuchennabasava Swamiji of Motagi Mutt.He said the award will be  conferred  on Justice Hegde  on January 26 during the  three day long  Sharana Sanskriti Mela 2013 to be held at the Mutt auditorium. The programme which will begin on January 25 has been organised in connection with the birth centenary celebrations of Bsavanna,150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and 88th death anniversary of Chennabasava Shivayogi Swamiji.

The seer informed that Justice Santosh Hegde will also participate in an open debate on rising atrocities on women.
