Judicial custody period of Manipal gang rape accused extended

Udupi, July 29, 2013:  The District Court has extended the judicial custody period of all the five persons arrested in the Manipal gang rape case. The five including the three main accused whose judicial custody period ended  on July 29, were produced before the court on Monday. Their custody period has been extended upto August 12.

The three main accused namely Yogish, Hariprasad and Anand were sent back to the Shimoga prison where they had been lodged while the other two accused namely Harindra, elder  brother of Hariprasad and Balachandra, elder brother of Yogish who were arrested on charges of destroying evidences, were sent back to the Hiriadka jail.
