Jayaprakash Hegde’s family proud of his victory

Udupi, March 22, 2012 : Divya Hegde, the daughter of Jayaprakash Hegde, the Congress candidate who emerged victorious in the recently held Udupi – Chikmagalur by-polls, expressed her delight at her father’s victory.

Stating that her father is a secular and progressive person, she said that she is happy about his success and so is the rest of the family.

Mr. Hegde, who did his MS in marketing and communications at North Western University in Chicago, US, owns a company in Bangalore. Ever since the Congress nominated him as a candidate for the by-polls, he has been spending a lot of time in the Udupi office of the Congress.

Although Mr. Hegde was defeated in the 2008 Kundapur elections and in the 2009 Udupi – Chikmagalur Lok Sabha elections, he continued working for the welfare of the people of Udupi and Chikmagalur, which the people realized.

His daughter says that her father will put in maximum efforts for the development of Udupi – Chikmagalur constituency and the Congress party.
