Jamaat council pleads for security during Eid Festivity

Mangalore, Oct 15, 2013 : A delegation of the Karnataka Muslim Jamaat  met Western Range IGP Pratap Reddy and SP Shantanu Sinha and requested them to  provide adequate security arrangements during Eid-ul-Adha festival, so that Muslims can celebrate the festival in a congenial atmosphere.

The  delegation led by PM Ibrahim, the Working President of the Council who is also the Qazi of Udupi and Chikmagalur,  also demanded action against forces which aimed at disrupting communal harmony. It further requested for steps to  avert rising cases of thefts.

Others in the delegation included Abusufian Madani, General Secretary of the Council,  BM Mumtaz Ali and MSM Zaini Kamil, Secretaries.
