Jaitley lashes out at Centre for interfering in CBI probe

Mangalore, April 28, 2013: Senior BJP leader and opposition leader in Rajya Sabha has taken a dig at the UPA government for what he called ‘Interference in the investigation of CBI on the coal block allocation scandal and said it was a clear case of immoral policing by the government.


Speaking to reporters here on April 27, Saturday, Jaitley said elections in Karnataka are being held at a time when politics has become contentious in the nation. Arun Jaitley said that elections for Karnataka Assembly are being held at a time when politics in India had become contentious.

There are prominent national issues which need redressal like the Chinese intrusion, Jaitley said and added India had a disturbed neighbourhood.


Regarding the first government of the BJP in the South in Karnataka, he said the party has taken rapid strides and had faced challenges. It has also learnt from experiences, he said adding the party stood by its ideals. He also claimed that the state has implemented some good schemes.


Mangalore South BJP candidate Yogish Bhat was also present.
