
Mangalore, May 7: "The ‘anti-corruption rallies being organised by opposition JD(S) is a political gimmick against Chief Minister Yaddyurappa said R Ashok, Minister for Home and Transport in Mangalore on Saturday, May 7.


Speaking to media persons before heading towards Vittal to open new building of the Vittal police station, Minister Ashok said that JD(S) led ‘people’s movement’ targeting the BJP government in the state over alleged corruption, cannot be compared with Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption movement.
He further said that opposition party has crossed the limit in leveling various allegations against the state government but “no one can find a single innocent person among those who are shouting slogans against Yeddyurappa government, he said.
Speaking about the achievements of the BJP government, he said that the naxal problem is very much under control now because of the steps taken by the state government. He said that the government had provided a number of facilities to people living in naxal-infested areas to curb the menace.
In response to a journalist’s question regarding the introduction of city buses, he said that the government will soon introduce city buses in the twin districts in a phased manner.
