Further, he said that the JD(S) has emerged victorious in 8 constituencies in the by-polls while the Congress achieved victory only once in the past four years. He accused the Congress of failing to select suitable candidates to contest the elections and thereby helping the BJP to win.

He said that the JD(S) enrolled over 56,000 graduates and over 15,000 teachers in the voters’ list, accounting for more than 40 percent voters’ enrollment under its leadership. Besides, the JD(S) had announced Bhoje Gowda and C. M. Panchaksharayya as its candidates ten months before the elections and had also conducted election campaigns, he added.

Several JD(S) leaders such as Shashiraj Shetty, D. M. Aslam, and others were also present.
