
Mangalore, Dec15, 2012: Ivory Coast Foreign Affairs Minister Charles Koffi Diby, accompanied by Sainy Temele, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ivory Coast to the Republic of India, visited Mangalore Bishop Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza at Bishop House in Mangalore on December 14, Friday. A team of consuls from the Ivory Coast Embassy in India was also present.







The visiting team was accorded a warm welcome at the Bishop House by Apostolic Nuncio of India Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, Dr Bernard Moras, the Archbishop of Bangalore, Dr Henry D’Souza,Dr Oswald Lewis, Bishops of Bellary and Jaipur respectively and Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore.
All of them paid tributes to the late Fr Ambrose Madtha and prayed for the soul of the departed Archbishop who passed away in a road accident at Ivory Coast last week. All the Archbishops and religious heads have arrived in Mangalore to take part in the funeral of Papal Envoy to Ivory Coast and Indian Archbishop Fr Ambrose Madtha, scheduled to take place at his home town Belthangady. The mortal remains of Fr Madtha is yet to arrive in Mangalore and the delay was due to a technical snag in the special flight carrying the mortal remains.
