Inter-caste marriage conference on April 14

Mangaluru, April 14, 2015: The district   DYFI - Democratic Youth Federation of India unit and the Forum for Inter-Faith Relationships will organise a seminar on inter-caste marriages,  “Crossing the barrier of caste” to mark Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations at Shivagiri Sabha Bhavan on  April 14, Tuesday.

People with first hand experience in inter-caste marriage  would speak about their experiences at the seminar.

In a press release  S. Kaviraj, president of the district unit of DYFI, said that Vittal Bhandary, Professor at MJC College, Siddapur, Uttara Kannada, and Uday Barkur, writer, would be the chief guests at the seminar. Muneer Katipalla, president of the State unit of DYFI, would also participate in the event.
