Infant Mary Chapel comes up at Bajjodi

Mangalore, Feb 2,2013 : The Infant Mary Chapel at Bajjodi was inaugurated on February 1, Friday by Fr Archibald Gonsalves, Provincial Superior of Karnataka-Goa province. Mangalore Bishop Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza blessed the occasion and offered the Eucharistic mass.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr Gonsalves, Fr Antony Serrao,Parish Priest of Bendur Church, Fr Dennis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese, Fr Melvin D’Cunha, Fr Pius James D’Souza, Fr Valerian Pinto and Fr Rudolph  D’Souza, Canada Regional Superior were the concelebrants

In his homily, Fr Archibald Gonsalves said the Infant Mary Chapel at Bajjodi was a symbol  of faith and also recollected that the Pope has declared the year as the ‘Year of Faith.’

The Bishop who also spoke, said the new chapel would help the people of the locality who had to otherwise go to the quite far off Bendore church.

 Fr Ratan, Fr Steven Pereira, Fr Jochim D’Souza ,Fr Gregory D’Souza, Fr Boniface Pinto, Fr Denis D’Sa, Fr Nelson Pinto, Fr Dominic Vas,  and several others were present.
