Mangaluru, Feb 17, 2023: Indo-Japan International Conference (IJCSP 2023) on "Future health strategy by transdisciplinary approach" organized by Dept. of Physiology and CRL, KS Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte (DU) & University of Miyazaki, Japan. 3 national level pre-conference workshop organized by Dept. of Physiology, Community Medicine and Central Research Laboratory on February 13 to 15 at Avishkar Auditorium, A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte-Mangalore.
This is a bilateral scientific programme supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, New Delhi and the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Government of Japan for the proposal titled “Future health strategy by transdisciplinary approach" submitted by Dr. Damodara Gowda K M, Associate Professor from Dept of Physiology, KSHEMA (Nitte DU) and Prof. (Dr.) Watanabe Nozomi as PI, and Dr. Harish Kumar Madhyastha as CO-PI from Division of Cardio-Vascular Physiology, Department of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine. This conference comprise distinguished speakers from various countries such as Japan, USA, Malaysia, and Gulf country, delivering lectures in the workshop covering major knowledge gaps on advanced technologies in the field of medicine. There are a total of 400 registrations from India, Japan, USA, Malaysia, and Gulf countries.
The chief guest of the programme was Dr Mohit Dayal Gupta, Professor of Cardiology at GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi. He spoke about CREATING CONSCIOUS FUTURE and how the meditation can reprogram and rewire the brain. As a Strong advocator of spirituality, Dr Gupta was practising rajayoga meditation daily from his childhood. He has given more than 500 lectures and conducted symposia’s all over the world (USA, UK, Europe and universities like Oxford and Cambridge University).
The three luminaries, Dr Mohit Dayal Gupta, Dr. E.V.Swaminathan and Rajayogini Vishweshwari were felicitated for their incredible service to the society.
The conference was aimed to create awareness and interest among students, research faculties and general public about the trans-disciplinary approach in the treatment of disease.
This conference included 3 pre-conference workshops conducted by Dept. of Physiology on hands on training on human physiology digital experiments. Dept. of Community medicine arranged special talks on HIV/AIDS in India-Epidemiology, Surveillance and way forward from two eminent from ICMR, NIE, Chennai.
Professor M Shantharam Shetty was the presiding officer of the programme. Dr. Suchetha Kumari, Prof of Biochemistry welcomed the gatherings and Dr. Damodara Gowda K M, Associate Professor of Physiology delivered vote of thanks. Dr. Shilpa Shetty was the master of ceremony.
