IndiGo Flight Cancellations Disrupt Services at Mangaluru Airport

Mangaluru, Dec 7, 2025: Flight operations at Mangaluru International Airport were severely affected on Saturday as IndiGo Airlines cancelled six flights amid an ongoing operational crisis. Official sources said three departing and three arriving IndiGo flights were cancelled.

Further cancellations on Dec 7: IndiGo also cancelled the Mangaluru–Bengaluru flight (6E256) and the 6E148/5150 Mumbai–Mangaluru–Mumbai sector on December 7, sources confirmed.

The disruptions are part of a wider operational challenge faced by the airline across the country, leaving passengers struggling with cancellations, delays and uncertainty.

The airline has issued an apology and attributed the disruption to last-minute operational issues, crew scheduling challenges linked to new rest-time regulations and increased holiday season demand.

Several passengers at Mangaluru reported confusion as flight schedules were repeatedly changed before services were ultimately cancelled, forcing some to wait overnight for updates.

With IndiGo flights grounded, fares on alternate airlines operating from MIA have reportedly surged, adding to the hardship of travellers.
