Illegally stocked sand worth Rs 35 lakh seized at Suratkal

Mangaluru, Mar 20, 2023: Police have seized nearly 100 loads of sand  which was illegally stocked at Munchur  and  another 150 loads of sand at Chelyaru village. The value of the seized sand is Rs 35 lakhs.

 

Cases have also been registered against the owners of the land where the sand was illegally stocked.

The case has been handed over to the Department of Mines and Geology for further action under MMRD Act.
