Illegal transportation of over 9 tonnes rice ; 2 arrested

Puttur, Sep 21, 2020:    Puttur Town Police who intercepted a  lorry  which was unauthorisedly transporting rice, have seized 9,250 kgs of rice valued at around Rs 2 lakhs, Two persons namely Khalander (31), the lorry driver and Zakaria (40) have been arrested.

 

The lorry  has also been seized. The operation was conducted at Polya on the Maani-Mysuru Highway.
