Illegal transportation : 1,050 bottles of liquor seized by Manjeshwar police

Kasargod, Sep 22, 2021: As many as 1,050 bottles of liquor, packed in cartons were seized by the police at Panjigaru while the same were being unauthorisedly transported in an autorickshaw on September 21, Tuesday.

 

The  operation followed a tip off. Though the police tried to intercept the vehicle near Moodambail the driver did not stop the vehicle following which police chased the autorickshaw and eventually succeeded in stopping it  at Panjigaru.

The driver however managed to escape. Investigations revealed that the liquor was sourced from Karnataka to be supplied to different places in Kerala.
