Illegal sale of infant : Three accused including 2 women arrested

Mangaluru, Mar 05, 2021:      Police have arrested a man and two women in connection with the illegal sale of infants. All  the three were arrested from a hotel in Mangaluru.

The arrested are  Rayan (30), a resident of Mulki, Kavitha and Mariamma.  It has been alleged that Rayan had sold a  five month old child from Hassan to Kavitha of Karkala for Rs 5 lakhs. Kavitha in turn had reportedly sold the baby to Mariamma.
