Illegal gas refilling station raided ; 1 arrested

Mangalore, July 26, 2013 :   The Mangalore Rural Police and the Tahsildar who raided  a house  in the outskirts of Mangalore on July 26, Friday have  arrested a person on the charges of  refilling LPG unauthorisedly.

 

 

 

 

 

The arrested person is Taranath (50). Police have also seized 16 cylinders weighing 17.5 kg each belonging to Indane,  22 cylinders of 5kg capacity, an  HP Motor, weighing machine, four cylinders belonging to Bharath Gas and five empty cylinders.

The arrested man was found in  possession of over 13 gas connection passbooks. Investigations are underway to ascertain if some other persons were involved in the illegal activity.

A case has been registered in Mangalore Rural police station.
