Illegal cattle transport: One arrested in Beltangady

Beltangady, Sep 30, 2022: Police arrested one person in connection with the illegal transportation of cattle in Belthangady.

 

The arrested accused have been identified as Sundara Moolya. The cops waylaid a pickup in Beltangady town in which a cow was tied in an inhumane manner. On checking, it came to light that Sundara was transporting the cow without any permit.

Both the cow and the pickup vehicle were confiscated by the police. Total value of cow and pick up is estimated at Rs 1.60 lac.
