Illegal Hookah Bar Busted in Mangaluru Mall Parking Lot

Mangaluru, May 25, 2025: The Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) police raided an illegally operating hookah bar at the parking area of Mack Mall in Kankanady, under Mangaluru East Police Station limits.

The establishment, Black Moon Resto Café, held a trade license for a cafeteria but was found running a hookah bar in violation of regulations.

Three individuals — Siddiq alias MFC Siddiq, Abdul Naseer, and Safwan — were arrested for allegedly running the illicit setup, which police said targeted youth to promote substance use for illegal profit.

Hookah equipment and tobacco products were seized during the raid.

The operation was led by Inspector Rafique K M under the guidance of CCB ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, with support from PSI Sudeep M V, ASI Sujan Shetty, and Mangaluru East Police.
