ISKCON celebrates Shri Krishna Janmashtami

Mangalore, August 10, 2012: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami on August 10, Friday at Devadiga Samaj Bhavan in Mannagudda.

 

The Darshan Aarati and Alankara Puja marked the beginning of the celebration, and a Rajbogh Aarathi was held in the afternoon. A Sandhya Aarati was held in the evening. Throughout the day, bhajans were recited and kirtans were chanted. The celebrations came to an end with the Mangala Aarathi and Maha Abhisheka.

Thousands of devotees offered prayers, had a darshan of Lord Krishna, and accepted prasadam. Karunyasagar Das, president of ISKCON, supervised the event.
