Huge tricolour hoisted on 110 feet tall flagpost at Ullal

Mangaluru, Aug 15, 2022: A huge national flag was hoisted on a 110 feet tall flag post  near the Ullal overbridge on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day on August 15, Monday. U T Khader, local MLA unfurled the national flag.

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, he said the flag would remain here forever. He said the flag will be an inspiration and guiding light to the young generation. There is a need to  drive away hatred and lead a life of peace and harmony, he said.

Students of various schools took out a procession as part of the event. Ullal TMC President Chitrakala, TMC Vice President Ayyub Manchila, Municipal Commissioner Vidya Kale, Tahsildar Guruprasad, Village Accountant Pramod, MLC B M Farooq, councillors and members of various organisations were present.
