House in Falnir burgled

Mangalore, June 25, 2012 : Thieves broke into a house in Falnir on the night of June 24, Sunday and stole a lot of gold and money.

Sushila Karkera, wife of Vaman Karkera, is the owner of the house. She had rented the upper portion of the house to Balvinder Singh of United Motors, who had gone to Nagpur for a wedding. Even Mrs. Karkera was not at home when it was broken into. Owing to these circumstances, the theft was discovered only on June 25, Monday.

The thieves broke into Balvinder’s room and stole a lot of cash and money. The total amount stolen is yet to be ascertained. However, the thieves have not touched anything on the ground floor.

The Pandeshwar police conducted the preliminary investigations.
