Although the fire fighting personnel rushed to the scene and put off the flames, nearly half the house has been destroyed.

Reportedly, Seema and Gunakar were not friendly with the neighbors. Gunakar is also engaged in a legal battle regarding land encroachment with one of his neighbors. The fire has completely destroyed all the papers related to this case. Seema has therefore alleged that someone has set their house on fire on purpose.

The house lacks electric power and domestic gas facilities.

According to P. Siddalingappa, the assistant office at the Pandeshwar Fire Station, property worth Rs. 40,000 has been destroyed in the fire.
