House destroyed in fire on Car Street

Mangalore, Mar 28, 2012 : A house belonging to Jyothiprakash Shetty on Car Street caught fire on March 28 Wednesday, causing heavy financial loss for the owner.

Mr. Shetty runs a paint business in Baikampady. He was heating paint in his shed on Wednesday when the fire increased in intensity and began spreading.

The shed has been completely destroyed in the flames, but the exact financial loss caused is yet to be determined.

The fire fighting personnel of Pandeshwar rushed to the spot and succeeded in putting out the fire. They had to use two fire engines for the purpose.

A case has been registered at the Bunder police station.
