
Mangalore, Oct 29, 2012: A house on New Balmatta Road was burgled on the night of Oct 18, Sunday.
B. P. Mustaq, a businessman who owns this house, had gone with his family to celebrate Bakrid in their other house in Manipal.









Mustaq’s son and a relative, who returned home at around 10:00 p.m., saw that someone had broken into the house. They immediate contacted the police and lodged a complaint.
A Bunder police team under the leadership of Circle Inspector Manjunath Shetty arrived at the spot and investigated the crime. Finger print experts and dog squads were also brought to the spot.
Mr. Mustaq said that one of his friends lives with them, but had gone to his native place to celebrate Bakrid. He said that the thieves stole a camera and two mobile phones. The thieves also threw things all over the house and used a hammer to break open the cupboard lock.
The police are now investigating the theft.
