Hotelier of Kundapur origin murdered in Bengaluru ; wife, family friend arrested

Kundapur, sep 23 2018: A  person of Kundapur origin who was running a hotel at Gandhinagar has been gruesomely  murdered  reportedly by his wife  along with a family friend. The incident took place  at Sheshadripuram.

The murdered hotelier Santosh Shetty’s (56) wife Annapoorneshwari Shetty (44) and a youth identified as Prakash (24) have  been arrested.

It has been gathered that the duo after  using pepper spray on Santosh Shetty had   hit his head with lethal weapons. A seriously  injured Shetty was rushed to the Apolo hospital by the accused Prakash itself stating he had suffered a fall. However, Shetty had  died in the hospital.

Santosh Shetty  and his wife Annapoorneshwari were running the Mahalakshmi Self Service Hotel at Gandhinagar since some years. As Santosh’s father and Prakash’s father knew each other, the  latter who had come to Bengaluru in search of a job was reportedly close with Annapoorneshwari.

The duo had hatched  the plot to  eliminate Santosh  Shetty. Though Annapoorneshwari had tried to mislead the cops stating she attacked her husband in self-defence when he tried to hit her in a drunken state,  the cops who grew suspicious, on further enquiry learnt that  Prakash and Annapoorneshwari had together eliminated Shetty.
