Hotelier drugged in Matsyagandha Express and looted

Mangaluru, July 24, 2016: Reports state that a hotelier travelling from Mumbai to Mangaluru was drugged by a person/s and was robbed of  gold jewellery, Rs 5,000 in cash, total worth Rs 1,65,000, here on July 23,Saturday.


lootedManipal Police, have registered a complained and stated Sunil Shetty, a young man  native of Karkala in Udupi district and residing in Badlapur in Mumbai was travelling in Matsyagandha Express to Udupi in a sleeper coach. Sunil in his complaint stated that during the travel, a person was friendly with him speaking in Hindi. Later he offered dry fruit , which I refused. The stranger again tried to offer biscuit during dinner, which he had got packed from his home around 8.55pm.  On  arrival at Chiplun Railway Station,  Sunil said that he took a bite of biscuit and threw rest of it. He felt very sleepy after just a small piece of the biscuit only to wake in the morning to find that all his belonging were looted, in his state of slumber.
