
Mangalore, Mar 9, 2011: Sagar Ratna Hotels Pvt. Ltd. Vice President Nagarajan J. Udupa announced that Hotel Ocean Pearl will host the Lucknowi Food Fest at Coral from March 11. He was addressing reporters at a press conference held at Coral today.
Revealing further details about the event, he said that talented chefs from Lucknow will prepare mouthwatering vegetarian and non vegetarian Lucknowi dishes and will display them at this fest, which will feature the cuisine patronized by royalty.






Promising that gourmets will be swept off their feet by the wide range of culinary delights from Lucknow, he said that delicacies such as Tomato Pudina Shorba, Gosht Paya Shorba, starters such as Arabi Ki Galoti, Gosht Galoti Kabab, Tangdi Wajid Ali Shah, Raan-e-Meharbhan, Lucknowi Seekh Kabab, and seafood delicacies such as Jhinga Meharon Nisha and Ajwaini Mahi Tikka will be presented.
Mr. Meharbhan Khan, the group corporate chef, spoke about the festival and said that the array of food will definitely delight the people of Mangalore. Mr. Khan says that the main course comprises mouthwatering dishes such as Nalli Gosht, Murgh Khaskaliya, Guncha-o-Kheema, and Paneer Lazeez. He said that he is looking forward to treating Mangaloreans with Nawabi food.
The menu will also feature Indian breads such as Varki Paratha, Masala Kulcha, Karare Roti, and Mirchi Pyaz Kulcha and rice dishes such as Lucknowi Gosht Biryani and Lucknowi Murgh Biryani. Shahi Tuka, Jamoon-o-Gol, Muzaifar, and Phirni are available for dessert.
Mr. Udupa said that this festival is part of the number of promotions launched by the Sagar Ratna Group in Mangalore. The hotel will also host other food festivals featuring culinary wonders from different parts of the country and the world in the near future, he said.
