Mangaluru, Jan 12, 2018: Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy held a review meeting at the City Police Commissioner’s Office on January 12, Friday in the wake of the recent untoward incidents reported from the coastal district.
IGP Western Range Hemanth Nimbalkar, City Police Commissioner T R Suresh, SP Sudheer Kumar Reddy, Uttara Kannada SP Vinayak Patil, Chikkamagaluru ASP K H Jagadish and other senior officials took part in the meeting. The officials apprised the minister about the recent incidents and th measures taken to ensure law and order in the region.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the Home Minister said law and order situation was under control at present and warned of stern action against those who spread terror through social media and indulge in unwelcome acts. All trouble mongers will be dealt with strictly, the Minister stated.
Regarding the Deepak murder case, the minister said the truth will be out once the police interrogate the two accused who are in hospital at present, recover from their injuries.
