Hijab row: 5 girls of Mangalore University College apply for TC

Mangaluru, June 20, 2022: Five  Muslim girl students of the Mangalore University College have sought transfer certificates  as they have been denied entry into classroom wearing Hijab.

The Principal of the College Anasuya Rai has confirmed that the five girls have applied for TC. The College has asked the students to submit a letter with some corrections and once they do so will decide on issuing the TC.

It may be recalled here that students had boycotted classes recently against permitting Muslim girls  with Hijab into classrooms.
