Hidden camera in washroom case: College management clarifies

Udupi, July 26, 2023: Following the allegations that students were filmed in the washroom of a private college using a mobile phone camera, the college administration has issued a clarification and said the erring students have been suspended as a disciplinary action.

 

Speaking to reporters, Rashmi, the director of the college said the students had apologized for the mistake and added that the college management had informed the police and has also handed over the mobile phones to the police.

She said mobile phones are not allowed in the college and said it was the responsibility of the management to ensure safety of the students.

She also claimed that the victim has denied to lodge a complaint and added that the students have told the management that it was a mere act of fun but have apologized.

She urged people not to spread lies on social media and clarified that the college management was not supporting anyone in this case.

Principal Rajeep Mondal, Academic Co-ordinator Balakrishna were also present.
