Hebri: Driver killed after tree falls on moving car

Hebri, Aug. 8, 2026: A car driver was killed on the spot after a huge tree fell on his moving vehicle near Hutturke in Hebri on Friday evening.

The incident reportedly occurred around 5.30 pm when the car was travelling from Hebri towards Brahmavar. The tree suddenly uprooted and fell across the road, bringing down an electric pole and power lines onto the car.

The vehicle was completely crushed and trapped beneath the tree, electric pole and cables, killing the driver instantly.

Efforts were underway to remove the uprooted tree and electric pole from the road. The identity of the deceased driver was yet to be ascertained.
