Heavy rains: Holiday for all schools in DK, Udupi on July 17

Mangaluru, July 17, 2025: The Deputy Commissioners of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi declared holiday for all schools and anganwadis in the two districts on Thursday, in view of heavy rains.

The leave applies to all government, aided, and private primary and high schools.

In Dakshina Kannada, the holiday has been declared for all pre university colleges too.

Meanwhile, heavy rains lashed Mangaluru city on Wednesday evening. All streams, including rajakaluves, were in spate.
