Harikrishna Bantwal pulls up Congress over Sri Narayana Guru tableau row

Mangaluru, Jan 22, 2022: BJP leader and KEONICS Chairman Harikrishna Bantwal has lashed out at the Congress party  for creating an issue over the rejection of the Brahmashree Narayana Guru Tableau of Kerala government for the Republic Day parade and said the controversy was a ploy by the Congress and the Communists.  If the issue is raked up, then the BJP will not remain silent, he warned.

Addressing a press meet at Atal Seva Kendra on January 22, Saturday, he challenged the Congress to produce written  document to prove its contention that the Centre has asked  Kerala to  prepare a Shankeracharya tableau instead of Narayana Guru tableau.

He recalled how Siddaramaiah when he was the CM in 2016 had turned down an invitation by Janardhana Poojary to visit Kudroli shrine and also questioned the opposition by Congress leaders to the MCC decision to rename Ladyhill circle after Narayana Guru. Aren’t these instances of offending Narayana Guru?,  he questioned.
