Mangalore, Feb 8: Hundreds of devotees took part in the Hagalu Pallakki Utsav held at the Sri Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet in Mangalore as part of the third day rituals of the Annual Car Festival of the Temple, on February 8, Tuesday. The festivities had commenced with grandeur in the Temple on February 6.
The day’s rituals commenced by taking the Utsava deity to the Yajna Mantapa.There was Yajna Arathi at the temple in the afternoon followed by the Mahabali Utsav and Hagalu Pallakki Utsav. The Samaradhane being held is also attended by hundreds of devotees.
Later in the evening there will be Bhandi Utsava and Gopurotsava. The festivities of the day will conclude with the Vasantha Pooja.
The Sann Theru or Small Chariot Festival of the Temple is set to be held on February 9 and preparations are in full swing for the grand event which will be followed by the Brahmarathotsava on February 9.The Avabhritha Utsav will be held on the concluding day of the Festival on February 10.
