HJV has no links with the slain Pratap Poojary or his killers, claims Vedike Convenor

Mangaluru, Feb 21, 2017:  The Hindu Jagarana Vedike has claimed that Pratap Poojary who was killed at Maroli recently and Manikanta who was injured in the attack  were not  its activists. The organisation has also stated that neither the accused  were connected to  the Vedike.

Addressing  press  persons here on February 21, Tuesday, Ravi Raj, Convenor of the  Vedike alleged that the slain Pratap Poojary had many cases against him and the Vedike was in no way connected to the incident. "This is just an attempt to tarnish the image of the organisation," alleged Ravi.

He also demanded that the police should nvestigate  the case thoroughly and arrest the  killers. He further claimed that the Hindu Jagarana Vedike was not  involved in  any unlawful activity and added that when several people attend the Vedike programmes, not all can be labelled as Jagarana Vedike activists.

 Subhash Padil, Secretary of the Vedike, Amity Kumar, Convenor and others were present at the press meet.
