HC cancels externment order against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, orders fresh hearing

Bengaluru, Nov 17, 2025: The Karnataka High Court on Monday (Nov 17) quashed the externment order issued against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi by the Puttur Sub-Divisional Magistrate on September 18, 2025.

Justice Suraj Govindaraj, presiding over the single-judge bench, passed the order after hearing Thimarodi’s petition.

The court directed the Puttur Sub-Divisional Magistrate to hold a fresh hearing and issue a new order within 15 days, providing proper reasons and citing the relevant legal provisions.

A total of 32 cases had been registered against Thimarodi. Assistant Commissioner Stella Varghese had issued the externment order on September 18, leading him to move the High Court.
