Mangaluru, July 26, 2025: Responding to BJP leaders who criticize the State Government’s ambitious guarantee schemes, Congress leader M.C. Venugopal stated that it is impossible to claim that these schemes have not reached anyone or that they are false. He asserted that the benefits have reached everyone regardless of party, caste, or community, and the expenses incurred by the beneficiaries stand as proof of this.
Speaking about the upcoming Kadaba Town Panchayat elections, he informed that the nomination process will be held on August 5. For the party’s victory in the elections across 13 wards, preliminary meetings and discussions have been conducted. He added that through this win, strategies will be formulated for the upcoming Taluk Panchayat, Zilla Panchayat, and Municipal elections to bring the party to power.
The District In-Charge Minister is continuously coordinating with officials and district leaders to take necessary measures. Being the Health Minister himself, he is formulating programs to tackle diseases that often spread during the monsoon season. To control the situations that have caused disharmony among communities in the district, harmony meetings have been organized. Strict action has been taken by the newly appointed officers against any party or individual attempting to incite communal violence, and such actions will be fully supported, Venugopal said at the Mangaluru Congress office.
“Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar are two sides of the same coin”
Venugopal further stated that both D.K. Shivakumar and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah work closely with the public to design welfare programs. In politics, everyone aspires for opportunities, but neither Rajanna nor Satish Jarkiholi has made any statement about a change in the Chief Minister. Siddaramaiah himself has clearly stated that he will continue as the Chief Minister for five years while remaining committed to the party high command’s decisions. Therefore, there is no confusion within the party, he said, adding that it is the BJP that is trying to create unnecessary confusion.
