Grief-stricken father dies soon after son’s demise

Mangalore, June 26, 2013 : In a  sad incident, an aged man, an entrepreneur of Kotekar who was grief-stricken over the demise of his  ailing son, died of cardiac arrest soon after performing the last rites of his son on June 24, Monday evening.

Venkatesh Mallya (37) who  was assisting his father in his business at Kotekar, had passed away on Monday following an illness. His father Lakshman Mallya (71) who couldn’t bear the shock over the demise of his son, succumbed to heart attack after his son’s last rites.

 Lakshman Mallya  who had earlier worked for Ganesh Beedies had later set up his own business at Kotekar. He was also the trustee of  Shri Lakshmi Narasimha temple in Ullal  and had also served as  President of Lions Club Ullal.
