Grand Champa Shashti Maha Rathotsav held at Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple amid thousands of devotees

Kadaba, Nov 25, 2025: In Subrahmanya, the Champa Shashti Mahotsava at the Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm on Wednesday, Kartika Shuddha Shashti, witnessed by thousands of devotees.

During the celebrations, Lord Umamaheshwara was seated on the Chikka Ratha (small chariot), while Lord Subrahmanya graced the Brahma Ratha (grand chariot). Following the Suvarna Vrushthi and Chikka Ratha procession, the Champa Shashti Maha Ratha Yatra took place, during which devotees chanted victory slogans in large numbers. After the procession, special rituals were performed at the Shashti Katta and the inner sanctum.

The event was attended by Muzrai Minister Ramalingareddy, Sullia MLA Bhagirathi Muruli, Deputy Commissioner Darshan, senior district police officer Dr. Arun, President of the Subrahmanya Temple Management Committee Harish Injadi, committee members, Aravind Aiyappa Sutagundi (Executive Officer of Subrahmanya Platt Temple), Assistant Executive Officer Yesuraj, Subrahmanya Grama Panchayat member Sujata R., and other officials.
