Govt trying to hush up washroom video case, alleges Udupi MLA

Udupi, Aug 08, 2023: Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna has alleged that the state government was trying to hush up the washroom video case reported from a private paramedical college in the city, by handing over the investigation to the CID in a haste.

 

Suvarna said the investigation had picked up pace after the state government changed the investigation officer in the case and the accused students were also produced before the court.

Meanwhile, it had also come to light that the father of an accused student was a member of the banned PFI, he alleged and said even before the police probe could be completed, the state government in a haste has handed the case to the CID and has added to the confusion.

He also alleged that the government has handed over the case to the CID to shield the accused.
