Gold chain worth Rs 1.20 lakh snatched from women at Suratkal Railway Station

Udupi, Oct 17, 2013: A gold chain has been snatched from women during the stopover at the Suratkal railway station.

Reportedly,Salgunan T along with his wife and children was travelling from Calicut (Kozhikode) in Kerala to Byndoor in Udupi district on October 9. But as the train started moving after the stopover at Suratkal Railway Station, an unidentified man snatched gold chain from Premalata’s neck, wife of Salgunan and fled from the scene.

The chain was said to be weighing 44 grams, worth Rs Rs 1.20 lakh.

A case has been filed complaint at the Konkan railway police station.
