Mangalore, April 27, 2013 : Michael Lobo, BJP MLA from Calungate, Goa has urged the minority communities to refrain from considering BJP as a communal party.
Speaking to reporters in Mangalore on April 27, Saturday, Lobo said it is only the BJP which can work for development and progress. He further said things have changed for better in Goa ever since the BJP came to power. He also charged the Congress of trying to create a sense of fear among minorities in Goa. Now, under the BJP rule, Goa is progressing more than expected, he added.
To a question regarding the spate of church attacks under BJP rule in Karnataka, Lobo said the ruling BJP had nothing to do with the attacks. Some elements which are responsible for such attacks are not part of the BJP, he claimed.
He also flagged off the BJP campaign vehicle installed with LED projector. The vehicle will move in the twin district for 7 days. This is the first vehicle started in the state and 22 vehicles will move around in 32 districts. The vehicle will stop in 6 points in one constituency.
