Girl dies as swing made of saree gets entangled in neck

Bantwal, Aug 09, 2022: In a tragic incident, an 11 year old girl lost her life when the  swing made of saree got entangled around her neck while playing at Bantranja of Anantady village on August 8, Monday.

 

The deceased girl is Likhitha, daughter of Shekhar. She was a sixth standard student of Babanakatte school. It is learnt, Likhitha who did not go to school on Monday  was playing in the swing when her parents were away. When they returned, to their shock they saw  Likhitha literally hanging from the saree. Though she was immediately brought down, she had breathed her last by then.
