Freedom Ride 2026: Mangaluru horse riding academy holds patriotic horseback walk

Mangaluru, Aug 15, 2026: The Mangaluru Horse Riding Academy organised a special “Freedom Ride 2026” in Mangaluru on Friday to mark India’s 79th Independence Day.

The patriotic horseback walk was dedicated to Dakshina Kannada freedom fighter Kedamadi Ramayya Gowda. The ride passed through the heart of Mangaluru, bringing equestrian tradition into a public celebration of patriotism.

Six horses took part in the ride. The event was led by Avinand Achanahally, followed by riders Akshamya, Manoj, Huda, Nikshep, Vihaan and Nithyananda Siddi.

The ride was organised as a tribute to freedom fighters and to commemorate the 79th year of India’s Independence. It also highlighted the tradition of horse riding as part of the Independence Day celebrations in Mangaluru.
