Fr Paschal Serrao from Moodbidri, a priest of Varanasi Diocese passes away

Mangalore, Aug 21, 2013:  Fr Paschal Serrao hailing from Moodbidri, who was serving as a priest in the Diocese of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh  passed away on August 20, Tuesday due to a cardiac arrest.  Fr Serrao was 68 years of age. He was last serving as Parish Priest of Fathima Matha Church, Mawaiya, Varanasi.

      

 

Fr Paschal Serrao who was born in 1945,  joined the Varanasi Diocese and ordained priest in 1978. Five of his brothers are also priests while one of his sisters is a nun belonging to the Sisters of Charity.

His funeral will be held at the Cathedral of Varanasi on August 22.
