Four additional Dasara holidays for schools in Mangaluru taluk

Mangaluru, Sep 24, 2022: Students  of schools in Mangaluru taluk limits have got four additional Dasara holidays. As per the  appeal made by elected representatives, Dasara holidays will commence from September 28 to October 16 in view of the grand festivities in Mangaluru.

 

The Department of Public Education had earlier declared Dasara holidays from October 3 to October 16. Now holidays in Mangaluru Taluk will commence on September 28. Meanwhile October 2 being  Gandhi Jayanthi, schools will have to mandatorily hold programmes.

To make good for the loss of four school days due to holidays, schools in Mangaluru taluk will have  to conduct full-day classes on four Saturdays and two Sundays in November.
