Former Mangalore Airport Director M. R. Vasudeva felicitated

Mangalore, Nov 6, 2012 : The Karnataka State Hajj Committee and Yenepoya Specialty Hospital jointly organized a felicitation ceremony in honor of M. R. Vasudeva, former director of Mangalore Airport.

Lauding the services rendered by Mr. Vasudeva, Mohammed Ameen, president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce (KCC), said that Mangalore Airport got the international tag chiefly because of the efforts of Mr. Vasudeva.

Speaking on the occasion, J. T. Radhakrishnan, present director of Mangalore Airport, who had played a role in the construction of the new terminal building, said that he expects the public’s cooperation in further developing the airport. Predicting hurdles for the same, he promised that he would follow the footsteps of Mr. Vasudeva and do his best for the airport.

Expressing his views about Mr. Vasudeva, he said that Mr. Vasudeva is a practical person who had a special ability to coordinate airport activities at the higher as well as grass root levels.

Accepting the felicitation, Mr. Vasudeva said that he had only done his duty, adding that he served as the connecting link between the public and the authorities. He said that the airport could be developed only because of the cooperation and sacrifice of the local people.

Moideen Bava, district president of the Congress Minority Cell; K. S. Mohammed Masood, president of the Muslim Central Committee; Abdul Aziz Baikampady, president of the Akhila Bharata Beary Parishad; and H. S. Usman Haji, president of the DK District Wakf Advisory Committee, also spoke on this occasion.

Among those present were Maaz Ahmed Shariff, executive officer of the Karnataka State Hajj Committee; Y. Mohammed Kunhi, chairman of Yenepoya Specialty Hospital; and T. S. Budan Pasha, president of the Udupi District Wakf Board.
