Former Indian football team captain, Shekhar Bangera succumbs to Covid

Udupi, Jun 10, 2021: Former captain of the Indian football team, Shekhar Paddu Bangera (74) of Udupi origin has succumbed to Covid-19.

 

Shekhar who had contracted Covid a few days ago was undergoing treatment at the Mahesh Hospital at Brahmavar where he breathed his last on June 10, Thursday morning.

 Shekhar who hailed from Badanidiyoor  had served as the goalkeeper and captain of Indian football team.
