Flash flood ; pick-up vehicle lands in river

Belthangady, May 26, 2021:      A flash flood  in the Mrityunjaya river near Charmady  resulted in a pick-up vehicle  landing in the water while passing that way at Urpel Gudde  in Chibidre village of Charmady Gram Panchayat limits on May 25, Tuesday evening.

 

 

The vehicle was on  its return path after supplying some materials to the house of M K Dayananda of Chibidre. When the driver  and another person in the  vehicle noticed the water level in the river  rising all of a sudden they  alighted from the vehicle which eventually landed in the river. Later locals after much effort have brought the vehicle out of the river.
